First Solo Journey
The collection of journal entries and photos from my 3 week solo journey on my motorcycle.
Introduction
Last year because of horse activiies, I did not take a real vacation. When I was 12 years old, my great Aunt Jean took me to a Dude ranch in Montata. We spent a week there riding horses. I have always wanted to go back there again to see the beautiful mountains. This past winter, I decided to plan a road trip out to Livingston, MT. My plan included going to see the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary In Hot Springs SD. The Sanctuary where my horse Takota was born. Rob usually does the trip route planning when we travel together. This was my chance to plan where to go and how to get there. I knew it would be a challenge to go on my own, but I was up for the task. I planned out reasonable length days, so I wouldn't get too tired. I learned how to clean and oil my chain, tighten the chain, and check my tire pressure as needed. I decided that I would leave Monday June 2 and hoped to be back Sunday June 22.
