PA hotdoging
9/28 Sunday
Sleeping above Arlo's Country Store made it very convenient to grab a coffee and breakfast sandwich. Then we continued through Pennsylvania on Nate's curated selection of curvy secondary roads.
Bruce started the trip with hotdog fixings fir all three of us. By day two he requested we eat them soon. We located a park along a stream for out hotdog picnic. A very relaxing mid-afternoo lunch.
A few sections of dirt road occurred during the day, and a few miles of potholes. At one point Bruce had an idiot light on hs dashboard. A google search and investigation revealed it the headlights high beam was not working. Not a big deal when only lead motorcycle ever uses their highbeam. We figured we could inspect it at camp and locate a new bulb the next day.
We selected a campground at Blue Knob State Park. It wasn't far off of Nate's route. After checking in and setting up tents we failed to catch the sunset on the top of the mountain, then a 30 minute ride to dinner at Best Way Pizza.
On the ride back to camp the BWM swithed itself from low to high beam. A little concerning that it could do that on it's own, but also comforting to know it never went dark.
We all appreciated nearly empty campground, and it's better than normal showers. The lack of rain and comfortable temperatures made for great sleeping. On night two, Bruc even knew to expect Nate's snoring.
